Dr Ram Burvin

Short Bio

Ram Burvin, M.D., received his medical degree Cum Laude in 1989 from the faculty of medicine Technion Israel's Institute of Technology and completed a residency in plastic surgery including two years of general surgery at The Rabin Medical center Hospital in Tel-Aviv. Board-certified in plastic surgery, Dr. Burvin was appointed as the chief craniofacial fellow at Harvard Medical School and Children's hospital of Boston between 1998 - 2001. He specialized in craniofacial surgery and Vascular Anomalies. He also held an appointment at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Returning to Israel he headed the craniofacial team and developed the vascular anomalies center in Hadassah hospital of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and then founded Mind & Body Institute. Dr. Burvin clinical interests include craniofacial anomalies, cleft lip/palate, vascular anomalies, research in facial cosmetic operations including deep-plane face-lifts, nose operations, eye-lid operations. He became interested especially in technical improvements of these operations to provide long-lasting cosmetic outcome. Minimally invasive surgery is especially appealing concept to cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. Dr. Burvin began to implement subcutaneous facial sutures in selected patient population in conjunction with sub and deep dermal feelers to enhance facial features, lips, and Botox® muscular weakening injections to diminish wrinkles. Dr Burvin also specializes in breast augmentation and body contouring liposuction surgery. Dr. Burvin is the author of 17 original scientific articles in the leading plastic surgery journals. Dr. Burvin developed his private practice in 2005, since then his office is located at Atidim medical center in Tel-Aviv and he operates also at Assuta hospital in Tel Aviv.
